7 Components of Interior Design You Need To Know

Interior design is the art of improving the interiors and exteriors of your place, to reach a comforting environment for the user who will spend time within the area. When talking about interior design we need to talk about space.

2. Forms or types

Forms or types determines shapes in general. This means an outline of any three-dimensional object in the space left. Forms may be constructed by connecting two or more shapes and may be strengthened with the assistance of different elements like patterns, texture, and colors.

3. Line

If your concern about lines, you may consider that lines are commonly classified into three types, they are horizontal, vertical, and dynamic. If you want to know when to use these lines, here are some of the tricks to using the lines well. The horizontal line is used in tables, chairs, and beds, whereas vertical lines can be found on windows and doorways. If you use a horizontal line, it can add a secure and safe feeling to space. A vertical line may give you the freedom sensation. The dynamic or angular line is commonly known for adding drama and can be seen on structures such as stairs.

4. Light

Lightning is the most obvious components of interior design. Whether you are going to use artificial or natural light, without lighting different parts namely color, pattern and texture it will not have any importance at all. Lighting puts in the ambiance and mood to a living room and highlights all another element in the room including space, line, and types.

5. Texture

Texture mostly deals with surfaces and decides how a normal surface feels and looks. The texture is commonly categorized into two different types - Visual Texture in which the texture you can feel is simply visible and Actual marching in which the texture is needed to be touched and seen. Anything that has to do with fabrics like a pillow cover, bedspreads or whatever related to coverings such as curtains, wall paint or backgrounds have a feel.

6. Color

Colours do not require any particular introduction. Color establish a decorative association involving items and create the mood. Colors have to be selected based on the psychology and also the mindset of the resident. For example, red is an excellent selection for dining room since it promotes someone's appetite and for the bedroom, you can choose green since it's the color of tranquility and wellness.
